We went to a big celebration today. It was a celebration for a little boy named Elias who just finished his last cancer treatment. When I heard that his mom was planning the big event, I offered to make the cake. Elias likes Super Heroes and he has even created his own, "Super E" and this is how he said he wanted his cake. I got a little worried when the RSVP list was up to 122 people. Altogether, this cake took me 9 hours. I have to say I'm a little sad about how uneven the icing looks in this picture but every time I tried to smooth it out, the cake started to come up. I need to practice. Also, I had this cake up super high so my kids wouldn't touch it, you should have seen me standing on a chair, hunched over to write the message.If you want to learn more about Elias, click on his mom's blog.
